Stacey Price

Founder, Tax Agent, Accountant and Chief Numbers Nerd

A qualified Chartered Accountant and Registered Tax Agent and self confessed numbers nerd – specialising in helping business owners to understand their financial information.

I am no boring, traditional accountant. I embrace cloud technology, I am passionate about training and educating my clients, and I love innovation to streamline processes. I get quite sucked in to new technology and have lost count of the new apps or programs I have tried.

My real love is financial training and education and sharing that with business owners so they too can upskill. I am a self confessed numbers nerd….and proud of it! Numbers and I just click.

I have over 22 years of experience as an accountant which has provided me with skills, experience and training to deliver complex financial information in an easy to understand manner. I speak “small business” language, not accounting jargon.

Taking on all roles within the financial, accounting, training and tax function for your business, I love getting involved with your business and I see myself as part of your journey. I want you to set and reach those financial goals.

Running a business is hard work – everyone needs a trusted numbers nerd on their team! Someone you can rely on for all things financial. I am your Financial Coach who can help you achieve your goals.

Bookkeeper (and chief data file fixer)

Skills/ Years of Experience – I started off as a Receptionist over 12 years ago doing basic Accounts Payable and Receivable in MYOB. As my time went on I became the Payroll Officer and also hand a hand In purchasing. Early 2015 I decided to do my certificate in Bookkeeping to broaden my horizons and to get formal qualifications in some of the areas I was already working in. We relocated to Country Victoria in early 2016 and it enabled me to expand my skills into Xero (which I am now certified in), QBO (also certified in) in conjunction with my MYOB certificate I obtained in my course. The clients I specialise in are legal clients (Smokeball, ActionStep, Leap) and other professional service business owners such as interior designers and graphic designers.

Favourite things – I love my 2 kids, Netball, Shopping, Water-skiing, F1 Racing, Swimming and a good comedy!

Why I love numbers – I loved to be organised and bookkeeping allows me to organise other peoples finances. I have a pretty strict household budget so I like to bring some of my working skills into my personal life!

Something quirky – I hate Seafood and Pork but love Desserts!

Office Manager (and all round ATO Ninja)

I have been the Office Manager for Healthy Business Finances since February 2020.  What was I thinking starting just before Coronavirus hit in full swing, but I do love to be busy!

Helping with all things administration, ATO compliance and office management, including setting appointments, job management, email management, ATO lodgements, ATO payment plans, general queries and I make sure all our documents, presentations and processes are all in alignment. I also test out various new apps and programs that Stacey likes to investigate to see which ones will work best for our business and our clients needs.

I am a mother of 2 and I am based in the Beaufort (which is close to Ballarat).

Outside of work, I love spending time on our property and with our two dogs.

Bookkeeper (and work wife to many clients)

I’m Karen and I have been with the Healthy Business Finances team since November 2017.   And for the second time in my working life, I’m working with my sister Christine! For 10+ years I’ve been doing all the administration and accounts for my Husbands business that he runs with his brother. A family business doing drainage and excavation which is into its third generation. Started by their grandfather 60+ years ago. Prior to that I ran the office and accounts for a mechanics and boat sales company. I’m a qualified visual merchandiser by trade and I have worked in the events industry in everything from wedding planning to corporate events.

I have close contact with many of our clients and some even call me their “work wife”. My specialty is e-commerce clients and I work across both Xero clients and Quickboooks Online clients.

I’m a busy mum to 2 energiser bunnies. A boy (11) and a girl (6).

In my spare time (haha what’s that?) I enjoy going to the gym, water-skiing, planning parties and events, creating and spending time with family.

Skills/ Years of Experience – I have gained valuable and diverse skills and experiences working in a variety of roles over the last 22 years ranging from Travel Agent, Administration Officer, Cabin Crew Supervisor and Human Resources Officer but my love of organisation and numbers has led me to become a Bookkeeper.  My qualifications include a Diploma of Human Resources Management and Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping and I am currently studying a Diploma of Accounting. The clients I specialise in are construction and professional services, and I work across Xero, Quickbooks Online and Keypay.

Favourite things – My favourite place to relax is my garden and in my downtime, I enjoy growing food, sewing and relaxing with my two daughters.  Sunshine and warm days are my favourite as I grew up in Perth. I love to go on holidays and explore new places and I look forward to enjoying a pina colada whilst relaxing in a hammock on a beach in Fiji one day.

Skills/ Years of Experience – the opportunity to start at Healthy Business Finances came after I was made redundant from my corporate career in travel due to the pandemic. I started my bookkeeping certificate during the pandemic to branch out my skills. My partner runs a building/construction business so I have been honing my skills by keeping him in line. I am based in Queensland and the busy mum of two children.

Favourite things – my family and friends, wine, chocolate, sunrises, exercise, live music.

Why I love numbers/what I love about my role – numbers and figures always have to work out and balance when you get a hard one and you work it out and it all balances is so satisfying!!

Something quirky – I love reality TV – mainly Kardashians, Vanderpump Rules and Real Housewives, I love turtleneck anything – jumpers, dresses, and I hate the texture of jellybeans and jelly.
